20,000 is a typical minimum order size for a custom wine bottle design. Capital investment in tooling and set-up is high, because decorative detail, such as a logo crest, traditionally needs to be built into the original vessel production molds, and it is very costly to interrupt the high volume factory glass production stream in order to retool and switch out molds.
Imprimo starts with stock glassware,-- in this case the bottle-- and adds the decorative feature in an independent process step. Tooling costs are orders of magnitude lower this way, and the process becomes more agile and responsive to the demands of the customer's schedule. |
Imprimo
A new thermal process to emboss custom artwork on the sides of glass vessels such as drinking glasses, wine bottles, and other glass containers. For the boutique, celebratory, choice artisanal, premium, special reserve, select, or in another way exceptional small batch release, Imprimo offers a way to brand the product in the most sophisticated way: articulated into the molten surface of the bottle, and then frozen in glass.
